So the 3 best things about christmas this year so far(in no particular order)
1. My next door neighbours mowed my lawn - something i was hoping my new lawn mower guy would do but hasn't.
2. A friend of mine took both the girls shopping all across Darwin last week to buy a christmas present for me then helped them wrap them beautifully.
3. Another friend invited us for lunch with her family on Christmas Day (was going to have a quiet one but the option of kids not fighting because they both had friends to play with was too good to pass up).

She's a rock star. . . .

I love her language . . . .it cracks me up almost everyday as did Acacia at the same age - So I sent her to the car to get the water bottles she had left there, she came back with 2 not three walks in the door and says:

"Obviously the otherone is at school " then something like because I would have had 3.

She is really bad at leaving water bottles in the car - risidual effect of usually eating tea in the car on the way home from gym.

Crazy busy right now - more to post as Ac is away in Canberra and little miss is missing her like crazy.

this week and today

really should fix the site . . poor deprived thing, but have and still are totally flat out. . . swb's and all that. . 

This week we have a new 7 year old in house.... no photos yet still editing school photos when i've finished that might get to the others including more gym ones. So we skipped gym more on wed more because i was too exhausted to drive in there than because it was E's birthday and instead we had 'the favourite' beef stroganoff, i could almost have guessed before i asked what she wanted - it ended up slightly burnt because we spent too long at the park but can't have been that bad because both girls gulped down the massive bowls i gave them in record time. . .

So at the park we bumped into the local politician. . . well he used to be before he was ousted at the last election (because he aligned himself with a political party rather than running as an independant) I felt sorry for hime because he really was the better candidate but . . .anyway i nearly told him that half the reason i didn't vote for him was because i was a teacher-(read as underpaid undervalued and overworked teacher) but i refrained and the girls had a wonderful time playing with his elder boy instead. E got a scooter for her birthday and was trying desperately to use it, acacia thought it was so cool that she asked how much it was so she could get one. . .and yes i finally gave up on the bike riding fiasco, unbelievable that she can do a handstand on the beam at 6 but not ride a bike at 7!

So this year all E wanted for her birthday was money!(besides the scooter and loetard that is) So everyone that asked her answer was always money(or if you were lucky a tamagoochi) So she asked Grandma for $50, she got $30 instead that she was exstatic with she asked Jo for $20 at some stage (not sure if she got that yet) and she even roped her father into sending her a card with $20 in it.  Her party is tommorrow at the pool so it remains to be seen how much she manages to haul in but she has her priorities set.

As for Ac she has been sick again. . . had monday off, but today she played her first game of volleyball which she loved, part of the electives program at school. She also had music with Mr Duff the teacher that comes in from out of the school . . . sO SHE SAYS YOU KNOW MUM THERE used to be a group of people who sung songs that were like very angry. I can't remember their name . . so if they were singing venus (Mr Duff's favourite) they would sing it angry and she starts singning with a slight head bang. . .oh i say you mean ACDC yes she says that's it. . . .

I had to laugh. . . .as i said yes i went to school with alot of people that liked music like that.

Eesha and I headed to the park. I wanted to play with my camera and for once she was happy to pose. Then Kayla turned up and they played. This is one of my favourites:

The CD of choice Saddle club - actually it wasn't playing the whole CD she has worked out to use the repeat function so it was playing the same song repeatedly as it does every night u(unless she listens to the radio) The song of choice to night: Hello World - incidently this was Acacia's favourite song at 6 and a half. She also chose to use the pony doonah on her bed today that belongs to her sister. (Ofcourse Acacia had her butterfly one because it matched her new sheets).

So yesterday as we were driving into gym Ayesha is busy realing off the fact that she is six and a half - like we could possibly ever forget that since she tells us almost every day. So she turns to Acacia and says: are you 9and a half yet and Acacia and I figure it out and it turns out that Acacia was 9 and a half on Sunday So Ms E says in her most joyeous mood "Oh Happy birthday Acacia!" Then she turns to me "Mum can we have a party for Acacia's birthday?" One simple answer to that ofcourse. The we worked out she was actually 6 and two thirds but ofcourse that concept is a bit beyond 6 and a half. . . and in the process of all this I missed a friends birthday. I am bad at that.

Just one last photo from last week. Another favourite. The leotard she earnt at gym I think she had to make her backward walkover on beam to get it. . I am sure that was it if not I fail as a mother - she hasn't quite got the handspring frontsault so it wasn't that and the kip was the one before. Anyway she was super proud and best part was that she and Miss I both earnt their beam leotards on the same day so I had a car full of happy campers on the way home.

One last note. . .We had a lovely Anzac day. . .Didn't make it to either the dawn service or the march despite the fact Ac wanted too. . .she is currently obsessed with her latest word commemorate (is that how you spell it?) It usually accomanied with the words "We do not cellecrate we commemorate" . We do however always have an Anzac day service the day before at school - it was a bit quiter yesterday than normal but quite nice all the same - made better by the fact that my class pretty much made it through the 40 min ceremony without saying a word- not bad for a bunch of 4 and 5 year olds. Acacia was happy cause she got to make the wreath for her class (We always lay wreaths under the flagpole) But she thought that it the bugal (again spelling) sounds much better in real life than on a tape. Eesh insisted on telling me her version of the story of the Anzacs and they both came running when they heard the last post on Home and Away (No they weren't watching it!) they were afraid that they were missing something to do with Anzac day!

to get these photos up so the first one my favourite i think of the whole day. Just to see if the setting is ok. . .
